LETTERPRESS DE PARIS
We were pleased as punch when the opportunity to stock LETTERPRESS DE PARIS came along. We have loved their cards and prints for such a long time. The caliber of creatives who create work with LETTERPRESS DE PARIS is exceptional.
LETTERPRESS DE PARIS is as the name suggests a letterpress company situated in Paris. The great thing about this company is they surround themselves by artists, graphic designers, illustrators, cartoonists, graffiti artists, and comic book authors. They then print the creations of these amazing artists on stationery wares and prints making them accessible to more people. They want to show how old printing presses can also be great tools for contemporary creation.
Here we are taking a little look at just a small handful of the designers who work with Letterpress De Paris.
LETTERPRESS DE PARIS FAIS UN VŒU (Make A Wish) Card
We are in awe of the incredible detail in the work of Amandine Meyer. Colour placement is key when creating depth and movement in letterpress and here you can see how it is used to great effect.
LETTERPRESS DE PARIS City Of Love Card
Designed by Sébastien Touache & Steffie Brocoli for LETTERPRESS DE PARIS. We particularly enjoy the stylized caricature look created here. It catches the joy and vibrancy of the city of love to a tee!
LETTERPRESS DE PARIS LE SOUHAIT (THE WISH) Card
This little beauty is by Swindler & Swindler. Margot Reverdy and Rémy Boiré are behind the graphic studio of Swindler & Swindler. They are Inspired in particular by the graphics of the nineteenth and early twentieth century, they create extremely elaborate compositions combining typography and ornaments. Gold foil is used here to add stunning details to the design.
LETTERPRESS DE PARIS cards look even better in person. It is hard to capture the exceptional detail and texture imprinted on a paper surface in photos, this can only be truly seen and felt in person.
