Sweet Illustration

I love all the work by Adolie Day. One of my favourite illustration books is called Sweet Illustration by Monsa and Adolie along with some other amazing artists feature in it. I had been looking for this book for months. It is continually out of stock with Amazon and then I randomly found it at a newspaper shop in Barcelona airport. I was over the moon.

Some of my other favourites who are in the book are Camilla Derricio for her crazy and colourful pieces. I found the following images on her site as these ones do not feature in the book but I think they are weirdly cute.

Marie Blanco for her beautiful ethereal images

Enchanting Paper Mechanics

I love the work by Sue Blackwell. It has a beautiful fairy tale quality to it and must be painstaking to make. She has done various book sculptures using paper to create three-dimensional diorama’s. So so pretty and enchanting! Continue reading

Papaya Art Writing Sets

Now I know email is the popular form of communication between friends and family these days but I must say getting a hand written letter is not only a great way of considered communication but it also shows thought and effort. You have to think about each word before committing to it and then try your darnedest to do your neatest possible handwriting!

Perhaps if you are looking for something a little whimsical then this Katy & June Merry Go Round Letter Set would suit.

Popnrock & Swing Cards

We have these genius cards from Popnrock and Swing Cards. I am a massive lover of paper mechanics and I collect greeting cards (seriously) so the combination of the two is just ridiculous. I would say that these would obviously make a really lovely card but then I would keep them out as an ornament. Continue reading

Simply Gorjuss

Gorguss is a new addition to The Paper Parlour. Suzanne Woolcott is the woman behind these adorable and somewhat eerie designs. She is based in Glasgow and works alongside her husband to create these beautiful images. The product design matches the quality of the illustration as no detail is overlooked.

You Are The Bees Knees!

Wakey wakey! Spring is most definitely in the air and it is time to come out of our Winter Hibernation. I see blue bells, blossom and daffodils everywhere! I actually saw my first bee of the year today, so with this in mind I think it only right that we spare a post for this glorious card below.  The Bees Knees card has the sweetest little verse on it and is one of our favourite new additions here at The Paper Parlour.
