As well as running The Paper Parlour I also do textile illustrations. I have just added some of my work to the The Paper Parlour site which you can view here. I hope you like it!
Quite some time back over the Easter period I took quite a few pictures. We had such a great start to Spring and I took these images to try and capture it. I took these using my new Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s Instant Photo camera. They have a new picture format so the images are credit card size. Also you have different light settings which I never had on my old polaroid. It only took a few shots to figure out but I like how there is a lens flare on some of the images caused by me doing the incorrect setting! It gives it a dreamlike quality.
New 2012 Calendars from Papaya Art. First we have the Twelve Muses Desk Calendar and then the Twelve Muses Wall Calendar. They are printed on heavy quality paper and features signature artwork and fine, pretty glitter embellishments on each calendar page.

This work is by Kay Nielsen. I love how much detail is in his illustrations, its amazing and it reminds me of the costume and set design for Marie Antoinette directed by Sofia Coppola. I have always loved the textiles, colours and prints in this film. I think the attention to detail in terms of design is incredible.
Here at The Paper Parlour we have a new addition to the family. Please welcome Betsy! She likes chewing, eating and chewing some more. Do not worry though as she will not be anywhere near The Paper Parlour products, I have a feeling she would cause a lot of damage!
